These guys are VERY slick sales people. They will try to up sell you on upcoming auctions. They will call you many times a day on their Skype line to anywhere in the world. If we DO NOT have access to the Actual pricing of the auctions, you would have never know out about this SLICK SCAM. Every chance they took, JAD tried to rip us off. The time and hassle spent dealing with this has cost us thousands more. Anton is the CEO of JAD and Aaron Ross is the manager, We have emails and documents proving all the overchages. We ALSO HAVE VOICE RECORDINGS

An example would be convincing you that the BMW you want is going to sell for 700,000 Yen. So you give your high bid to Aaron or any salesman at the 700,000. The salesman tells you that you bought it at auction for 700,000 Yen, plus his agents fee of 90,000 Yen. You find out that the actual auction price was 500,000 Yen. That is a $2000 difference in JAD’s pocket. Japan Auto Direct have also overcharged on Shipping pricing.   In many Countries, sending false invoices is deemed as International Wire Fraud.

THERE WILL BE AN INVESTIGATION FORTHCOMING.  Our Lawyers have already pulled the original terms and condtions off the website so that JAP does not try to state that the EXTRA CHARGES WERE SHIPPING CHARGES.

JAD belongs to many USED MOTOR VEHICLE associations.  IF THESE ASSOCIATIONS FOUND OUT ABOUT THESE SCAMS, THE ASSOCIATIONS WOULD NO LONGER AFFILIATE THEMSELVES WITH JAD.

A year ago i bought three car from Japan Auto Direct and all 3 were lemon...
First car was a  Mercedes Benz 1992 500 sl......... The car was suppose to have 28 000 miles...
But the first few mechanics that took a look at it were positive that this car had 100 000 miles over...??? The odometer have been rollback..(on the 2 other car too)..On this 500 sl i had to replace...exhaust(400$)...light assembly(600$)...transmission(6000$)...brake pads(250$)...roof struts(800$)...and on top a new paint for the multiple dent and scratch(4500$)...and few more things that i forgot...
TOTAL:..12 550$$(repair) plus initial price of the car 12 000$cdn....=24 550$$$
Blue book value:10 000$ US

Second car was a Porsche 911 1990 wide body kit...Same problem with the odometer...
This was the worst story and sad of all...This Porsche came with a burn engine...
One of the oil cooling hose was fix with a piece of Doc Tape...When they drove it to the boat (to Vancouver)the cooling hose burst and the engine too...I was so sad could'nt believe it....This one i paid 22 000$$$..And it need it a new engine
(15 000$$ install)...light assembly(1200$)...new suspension(front and back 2000$)...new interior electrical wiring(nothing working ...windows..seat..etc.. 1000$$$)...Trim and paint(4000$)...and many more i swear...
TOTAL:..23 200(repair) plus initial price of the car 22 000$cdn...=45 200$$$
Blue book value..:16 000$ US(if in excellent condition...)

Oh my god...I should had bought one in Canada...and maybe it would had been a 2006!!!!

I wont lose your time for the third one...The story is the same...The car was a Mercedes Benz 600 sel v12 1991...To make it short... i only spend 4000$(part and repair) on this car but still to much...
TOTAL:..4000(repair) plus initial price of the car 7000$cdn...:11 000$

I call many times to Japan Auto Direct and they never wanted to help me...
I am really desperate...I lost so much money...
And they told me there was nothing wrong with the car when i bought them...

If you want my advice...Never buy from Japan Auto Direct they rip you off..!!

If you go thru and buy from Auto Direct...Just Take care of Dane Gillett(sales) and Anton Cavka(owner)...They will lie in your face just to sell something...

JAD have been in the business a fair while and used to (or still do) supply a lot of retailers in aus. they may not have the most stellar reputation though.

I am glad your experience was positive. I bought a car from Anton Cavka (the owner) and very little of the flowery Ad or pictures were what it seems.

The entire trunk of what I got was rusted through. I got pictures sent to me of a beautiful carpeted trunk. The car was in both a front & rear collision. Only the front was mentioned to me.

I would never reccomend using this company at all. There are better & more responsible vendors out there.
